Information Director (ID) is a powerful configurable tool that can coordinate and provide easy access to needed management information from multiple data sources both local and remote.  It’s macro creation and document-handling functions make it ideal as an enterprise wide document control system.   

Information Director is cost justified by solving specific business problems including:

  • Reduce paperwork, automate document approval cycles, control critical documents – Information Director includes tailorable macros that store critical documents in a secured central database, provide on-line retrieval of the latest approved revision of these documents, provide an electronic approval system, and provide a complete history of document revisions. 
  • Organize and provide real time access to critical reports and performance measurements – Electronic folders are setup for each manager with pertinent reports setup to provide exception reports, charts and graphs of performance measurements, and other pertinent data needed for them to support decisions.  ID is integrated with Excel providing the ability to populate and launch an Excel report including graphs and charts.  The reports are set up to directly launch on a double click or prompt the user with pull downs to narrow the size of the report.
  • Save time in IS department – Information Director includes Microsoft VB scripting as well as a wide assortment of built in routines that allow the quick setup of macro’s to support new software implementations, perform system maintenance, and set up special functions for users.  It can access up to 6 databases both local and remote simultaneously and thus be used for database transfers and other special functions.  Routines included provide direct integration with Excel, ability to launch 3rd party applications, automate email distribution of documents, control of documents, and other useful utilities.
