Knowledge Director (KD) is a web based application framework system that is a cost effective way to create interactive "expert system" applications. It is designed to be a tool for experts to interpret their unique knowledge into an interactive web application at a significantly lower cost than conventional methods.  Saros will help you create applications including providing content as required.  You can rent time on our Knowledge Director Web server or KD can be installed on your Intranet server with remote access setup for Saros support staff.  As standard authorized client users can edit application content and manage your KD users.

Types of Applications:

• On Line Service Request - Guides the user through a series of questions and input screens to gather needed information. Follow up questions are based on previous answers to minimize the number of screens the user needs to access. Summary of gathered information can be submitted electronically or output in the form of a report.
  
• Quote Tool- an interactive application that is tailored to collect information in the form of an online “wizard” that prompts for critical information in a logical sequence. The initial deliverable from this collected data is a concise report of requirements in MS Excel and/or Adobe PDF format that provides you needed information to develop a quotation. The potential exists to automate many parts of the quotation process and work toward “real time” quotation response to “normal” prospect inquiries.


• Smart Search – Provide visitors to your site an easy to use interactive interface that is tailored to help them access available data without getting too many “hits” or not finding what they are looking for. Only the options based on available data are displayed as they progress through an interactive easy to use dialog or “wizard”.


• Customer Surveys – online "smart" surveys are created quickly and cost effectively to get feedback from your customers. Content is derived from previous survey material you have developed or new material that our consultants help you develop to meet your specific objectives. Questions can be utilized to "route" user through the minimum number of survey screens based on the users background and interest.


• Education – online training accessed through your web site that is interactive and paced to match the user’s level of retention and previous training. Saros consultants are available to assist in course conversion / development as required. For example you can provide us an existing PowerPoint presentation you developed for a class. The resultant on-line course includes logical flow that goes through a section, asks a question to check retention and either reinforces training if wrong answer or if right continues on to the next section. On-line workshops and class ending tests are captured in a central database and reports are fed back real time and/or in form of management reports. Voice over and other multi-media forms are supported.


• Custom Applications – a variety of online applications can be developed at a fraction of the cost of custom code utilizing the Saros Knowledge Director “wizard” interface. These applications include “front ends” to your business systems (web based order entry for example), “Product Configurator” that is used to accurately configure a product with many options, and applications based on your unique knowledge that can be sold on-line to augment your revenue stream.
