A Simpler Approach

We’ve all heard the various buzz words that both internal IT and software vendors use and how they benefit our company. There are many good systems out there but too often they are complex to setup and expensive to implement and maintain. We at Saros have used our many years of system implementation and operations management to develop highly configurable and relatively simple systems to solve tough problems for our clients. Our process oriented system is designed to compliment your current systems and provide the functionality of more complicated and costly systems.

  • Workflow – Most workflow systems are complicated to setup and maintain requiring IT expertise either in house or contracted from the outside. • Lean – this is often associated with six sigma analysis, Kanban, and other visual systems on the shop floor. While all these are part of a Lean implementation there are broader needs looking across all processes in an enterprise including those in accounting, engineering, procurement, sales, quality assurance, logistics, service, and other non-manufacturing areas of any type company. Our approach to Lean software is centered around a business process model that captures best practices and a “required process activities” database that provides a prioritized lists of scheduled tasks to all key employees. • Legacy Systems - Many companies with older main frame based information systems are putting off upgrades to these systems due to high cost and potential major disruption to their operations. Our graphical easy to use and affordable solutions are designed to coexist with existing systems providing the ability to upgrade the user experience and improve functionality at much less cost and minimal distraction.  Businesses of all types can utilize Process Director to overlay and/or integrate with existing systems to manage, reinforce, and track business system processes eliminating tedious user interfaces and wasted effort.  Knowledge Director can be utilized to create company specific "wizard" type applications to simplify user interfaces, increase the number of users with direct access to needed information, and minimize administrative effort.

  • Preserve Corporate Knowledge - We all know people in our organization that are “experts” in that if they were to suddenly not be available would cause disruption in our day to day operations. These people have knowledge they have acquired from experience and self-study that allows them to make the right decisions and keep internal operations running smoothly. Using Saros Lean software, company expert’s knowledge can be captured in the Business Process Model. Inexperienced users merely follow their assigned tasks in their web based prioritized task listing, which were broadcast based on the Business Process Model. Each task on their prioritized task listings has the appropriate reference information tied to it accessible through a right click menu.

  • Data warehousing – Saros systems pull together an enterprises various data sources into a central database in the Cloud or on a customer provided web server. This provides many of the benefits of more expensive data warehousing systems. We partner with 3rd party data warehousing companies for those enterprises that require full data warehousing capability.

  • CMS (content management system) – As part of the setup of the Business Process Model all critical documents a user needs to do their job can be associated with required tasks. These include CAD drawings, ISO-9000 work instructions and SOP's, instruction manuals, specifications, etc. Now instead of a separate Cloud CMS you have it all combined and accessible from each users prioritized task list.

  • Project Management – Saros Process Director provides the ability to track multiple projects against common resources and provide real time project status updates at a fraction of the cost/complication of comparable project management software. It is integrated with MS Project and MS Excel allowing a wide variety of project outputs. This approach is ideal for companies that have multiple repeatable projects like construction, software implementation, and maintenance.

  • Technical Support - As a Microsoft Certified provider, Saros and its predecessor company Optim, LLC have provided a wide variety of system integration and custom software services since 1994. Read more …
